Tragic Start To Three Kings Celebrations As Six Year Old Boy Dies In Malaga While Collecting Sweets

The child was laid to rest yesterday

There was a tragic start to the Three Kings Celebrations in Malaga when a six year old boy died while trying to collect the sweets thrown from the floats. 
It appears that the child was run over by the float.
The accisdent happened at around 17.30 as the parade passed through Plaza  del General Torrijos
The Mayor of Malaga has declared two day of morning in the city.
The planed benifit for the Fundación Cesare Scariolo at the Teatro Cervantes tonight  has been canceled
Municipal events in the city were cancelled as the whole city came to terms with the events of the night
On the night the difficult decision to continue the event was taken as it was determined that to canel the event could possibly casue panic and even the the possiblility of a stampede caused by mis information
The funeral of the boy who has bren named as Miguel RM took place yesterday at the Parque Cementerio de Málaga. In addition to family and friends the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, , the delegate of the Andalusian Government, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, the president of the council, Elijah Bendodo and more than twenty councilors attened the funeral .
An investigation has been launched by Police who are reviewing the CCTV cameras to determine the full facts of this tragic accident
The float involves in the tragic accident was from the Cruz del Humilladero district and was accompanied by 15 people including two Civil Defence volunteers and a local police officer.
Police have impounded the float as part of the investigation
