The port of Malaga has seen a large increase of passengers

More than 1,300,000 travelers passed through Malaga Airportin June  representing an increase of 2% over the same period of 2011
It was the first  increase in passenger numbers at  Malaga airport so far year.
So far in  the first half of year 5,688,066 people have used the airport which is 2/7% less than in the first six months of 2011, according to data provided today by Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA).
The figures show that even though there was a 1.5% decrease in the number of flights the planes are fuller.
Most travelers (1,107,864) that used Malaga airport flew on  international flights, withmore than a third of them coming from or going to the UK (37.1%), followed by Germany ( 7.2%) and Ireland (6%).
Moreover, during the first half of this year   the port of Malaga saw  279,632 cruise passengers, an annual increase of 14.7 percent,
