Major Clampdown Of Use Of Health Service By Foreigners
According to reports in the press the cabinet has voted to crack down on foreigners using the Spanish Health Service
It is understood the move is part of 7 billion € of cuts.
It is also understood that the Government intend to toughen the conditions for inclusion on the Padrón census.The reports say that fiscal residency will also be needed by foreigners using the health system. and that only those who have legal residence’ in Spain will be able to fully benifit from the health system. People without this will still have access to emergency departments, maternity units and those services that involve the care of children
