Malaga Court Sentences British Woman To Five Years For Killing Her Husband

According to reports in the press the court in Malaga sentenced a British woman to five years in prison for the illing of her husband in 2010.
It is understood that the 48 year old woman who was named in the press as Michell Cornell was sentenced on Thursday after been found guilty by a jury of the killing of ther 57 year old Husband David 
It is reported that she was found guilty of stabbing her husband at there home in the Urbanisation Torremuelle in Benalmádena
The reports state that the court took into account that she was drunk at the time and that she claimed that during her 18 year old marrage she suffered from abuse from her husband, The court also considered that there was only one stab wound and no other signs of violence.
It is also reported that shecan now make an appeal to the TSJA Andalucía High Court if she wishes.
She also has to pay 60,000 € in compensation to her husband’s family
