Alhaurin El Grande Town Hall Seeks Meeting With Central Government To Discuss Recent Crime Increase

More than 15,000 meters of cable has been stolen since December

The town hall of Alhaurin el Grande has requested a meeting with the central government representatives to address to discuss the problem of the recent spate of burglaries in the town
The government team said that since December there have been several cases of theft in the street the street lighting network, vandalism and also thefts from houses in the campo
There have been a number of break Ins since December and more than 15,000 meters of cable has been stolen, with a replacement cost 85,536 euros with the main areas been affected being the Mijas Road and the Poligino La Rosa
The local government has also warned that there have been other acts of vandalism, including burning vehicles and thefts of manholes covers on some streets.
They plan to ask for an increase in the number of Guardia Civil officers in the town.
