Spanair into liquidation

The airline Spanair provided yesterday file for bankruptcy in a court in Barcelona.

The company is reported to have debts of more than 300 million, of which 165 million is forthe airline SAS. Spanair is a former subsidiary of SAS and SAS was still 10% of the company.
The next few days are also presented layoffs of all the staff at 2075 persons. Spanair hasthe last three years with support of 150 million from the region of Catalonia andBarcelona’s municipality. Certain information say it was a no to further support that prompted the bankruptcy.
