Construction Of Second Runway At Malaga Now Complete

A new access road to the south of the airport to the Autovia del Mediterráneo will open at the start of next year.

According to reports in the press the construction work on Malaga’s second runway is now complete and it will come into service in March 2012
It is understood that the new 2,750m long runway which cost 550 million € will effectively double the capacity of the airport and ensure future growth.
The is also an additional 340m which can be used to help in take offs
