15 November 1998 we launched the project which from the outset was rich with information and news about Spain and the Costa del Sol. The idea was to sell advertising space to business owners to finance the project.
The site quickly became popular and well attended because we was a bit of a pioneer in this field. It was a little harder with entrepreneurial interest when the market for Internet advertising had not had time to mature enough.
Everyone thought, however, really hard on the project and they worked more or less voluntarily a few years before it started to become profitable. Today, the site is a cutting edge portal with a focus on the business register, information, classifieds, real estate and is the natural meeting place for those who like the Costa del Sol.
We who work here are Stefan Jutbo, stefan@costadelsol.st, the pioneer who remains with the company since its inception in 1998, he is the one who hold everything together. Hasse Sjölund, hasse@costadelsol.st writer. Plus our invaluable team of sellers and freelancers. We also work closely with the portal www.costablanca.st and our aim is to be comprehensive in Spain with portals also in the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands.
