Another Meeting To Attempt To Resolve Garbage Strike In Rincon De La Victoria
There will be another meeting between the Town Hal of Rincon de la Victoria and the Unions in an attempt to resolve the garbage strike which has seen in excess of more than 250 tons of uncollected waste in the streets and squares of the town,
The amount of waste is already causing major complaints from residents and traders as the holiday season starts with a panorama filled with dirt, preventing them from working. The Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios (ACERV), ,have reported that the accumulated losses now exceed 20% in business, especially in the terraces of bars and cafes.
The first draft agreement that was unanimously rejected by the workers’ meeting last Saturday, so it is back to the table for the Town Hall the private partner (FCC) in the joint venture in the Empresa Mixta de Medio Ambiente (EMMSA), and on the other, representatives of the three unions on the committee (UGT, CCOO and CGT). It is hoped that the next meeting could have a positive outcome following a marathon meeting with the unions
