Investigation Into Mijas Fire Launched

Mijas Town Hall has opened an investigation into the causes of a fire that occurred last Sunday in the El Gamonal area. 
The fire destroyed around about 8,000 square meters of scrub and took the help of aircraft to douse the flames, due to strong wind that was in the area
The main hypothesis is that stubble burning could be the cause the incident. 
A policy of zero tolerance against those  who burn brush or light barbecues in forest catchment areas, which is practically the entire municipality except the core of Las Lagunas,
