Strike By Malaga Taxi Drivers Called For Tomorrow

Taxi drivers are unhappy about plans to allow drivers from outside Malaga to pick up passengers at the airport

There will be a strike by Malaga taxi drivers tomorrow as a protest against decree 11/85 submited by the the Junta de Andalucía which allows any taxi or private hire service to pick up passengers from Malaga Airport.
This has angered the  1434 independent taxi drivers and a thousand employees who say the decree will mean it will not be enough work for the local taxi drivers
 
The strike will mean that between 10 am and 3 pm
 
The Asociación Unificada Malagueña de Autónomos del Taxi (Aumat) have said that the protest will begin at 10 when they deliver their concerns to  Delegación de Fomento y Vivienda de la Junta in the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz, then at 11 they will travel down the Avenida de Andalucía to the Alameda Principal to the the headquarters of the regional government where another letter will be delivered . The protest will then travel along the Paseo del Parque to City Hall where a statement will be read
