Spain’s Taxi Drivers To Hold Strike On August 1st

A 24 hour strike by taxi drivers in Malaga province is scheduled for August 1st.
The stuke will involve aropund 3000 taxis in the capitol aswell as in different municipalities inland and on the coast.
The strike os partof a National stike called in connection with the LOTT, Law for the Ordination of Terrestrial Transport which will allow more fredom in the transport sector for  rent a car with driver sector
At present only one rental car with driver for every 30 taxis is allowed but the law will change this.
Taxi drivers are unhappy and fear that this new law will worsern their financial  situation atr a time where profits are at an all time low
There will be taxis available for health emergencies and other significant emergencies only during the strike
