Child Rescued From House Fire After Been Left Alone

According to reports in the press a four year old child was resuced from a house fire after been left alone in the apartment by their grandfather

It is understood that the grandfather had gone out to run some erands when the fire broke out at around 10.15 pm yesterday

Neigbours downstairs discovered the fire after hearing a child's cry and a man named in in the press as Francisco Vallejo entered the building located on calle Pablo Neruda in the  Portada Alta neigbourhood of the city and rescued the child.

Police contacted the child's father who explained he was at work and told then that the child's grandfather was watching the child.

Police arrested the grandfather leaving the child alone.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
